Tempo Sheet №1 · Rhythm ride, 45 minutes
A tempo skeleton for a 45-minute rhythm ride. Each block gives the BPM band to fill with your own tracks, the cadence to cue, and the moment in the phrase to make the change. Read every track's BPM off the speaker before class and it slots itself.

| Block | Min | BPM band | Cadence (RPM) | Position | Cue |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Warm-up | 5 | 112–120 | 56–60 (½) → 80–90 | Seated flat | Start half-time on the beat, open up to 1:1 at the second chorus. |
| Flat road | 5 | 120–126 | 80–90 | Seated flat | Legs match the kick; add a turn of resistance on each 32-count. |
| Climb 1 | 4 | 124–130 | 62–65 (½) | Seated climb | Half-time. Stand for the last 8 of each phrase. |
| Sprint set | 4 | 140–150 | 100–110 · 30 s × 4 | Seated → standing | Sprint on the drop, recover through the verse. |
| Climb 2 | 5 | 128–134 | 64–67 (½) | Standing climb | Heavy gear. Choreography lives on counts 1 and 5. |
| Recovery | 3 | 96–104 | 48–52 (½) or 96–104 | Seated | Drop the gear, let the tempo read the room. |
| Climb 3 + jumps | 5 | 126–132 | 63–66 (½) | Seated ↔ standing | Jumps every 8 counts, 16 on the final chorus. |
| Sprint set 2 | 4 | 144–152 | 104–112 · 30 s × 4 | Seated | Same structure as set 1, one gear heavier. |
| Peak climb | 5 | 130–138 | 65–69 (½) | Standing climb | Longest climb, biggest track. Finish on the last downbeat. |
| Cool-down | 5 | 88–100 | free | Seated | Stretch to the beat, then off it. |
Notes
- RPM is BPM ÷ 2 for climbs and 1:1 for flats and sprints. Beatpin shows both beside the reading (½ and 2×), so a 130 BPM track reads as 65 for the climb without arithmetic.
- Read each track live before class: play it on any speaker, point the phone at it, note the locked BPM. Streaming-service BPM fields are often missing or wrong for edits and live versions.
- Cue changes on count 1 of a 32-count phrase. Give the call on counts 5–8 of the previous phrase.
Filling it in
Put the phone on the desk, play each candidate track from any speaker, and press Listen. The provisional number appears in a few seconds and locks with a decimal; the ½ and 2× chips beside it are the other two readings of the same pulse. Range: House · Techno for climbs and sprints; Cardio · Run to see the doubled cadence directly. Write the locked BPM against the track, and drop the track into the block whose band it falls in.
Beatpin's free tier keeps your last 15 reads in Library, which is enough for one sheet. Pro keeps every read and adds the key and Camelot code beside the tempo, which makes the transitions between blocks smoother when you care about that.
