Tempo Sheet №4 · Halloween ride, 45 minutes
A 45-minute Halloween rhythm ride built the same way as Sheet №1, but with the theme doing the pacing: the climbs live in the slow, heavy 120s where goth, industrial and darkwave sit, and the sprints are the only place the tempo opens up. Fill each block from your own themed playlist; the BPM band tells you which songs fit where before you press play.

| Block | Min | BPM band | Cadence (RPM) | Position | Cue |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Warm-up | 5 | 110–118 | 55–59 (½) → 80–88 | Seated flat | Start half-time in the dark; bring the lights up with the cadence. |
| Flat road | 4 | 120–126 | 80–90 | Seated flat | Synth-pop sits here. Legs on the kick; add a turn every 32-count. |
| Slow-burn climb | 5 | 100–112 | 50–56 (½) | Seated climb | The slowest climb of the ride. Heavy gear, stay seated for all of it. |
| Jump scare | 3 | 128–134 | 64–67 (½) · 8-count jumps | Seated ↔ standing | Up on the hit, down on the breath. Jumps every 8, no warning. |
| Sprint set | 4 | 140–150 | 100–110 · 30 s × 4 | Seated → standing | The chase. Sprint from the drop until the vocal returns. |
| Recovery | 3 | 92–100 | 46–50 (½) or 92–100 | Seated | Lights low, gear off. Let the room breathe. |
| Standing climb | 5 | 124–130 | 62–65 (½) | Standing climb | Industrial and stomp tracks. Choreography on counts 1 and 5. |
| Sprint set 2 | 4 | 144–152 | 104–112 · 30 s × 4 | Seated | Same chase, one gear heavier. Four sprints, then it is over. |
| Peak climb | 7 | 126–132 | 63–66 (½) | Standing climb | The longest block of the ride. The biggest anthem you have; finish on the last downbeat. |
| Cool-down | 5 | 80–96 | free | Seated | One slow song, lights off, stretch to the end of it. |
Notes
- Themed playlists are the octave trap in costume: goth and industrial carry a slow kick with a fast hi-hat, so a 112 BPM climb track often reads as 224 on a tap-counter. Beatpin shows ½ beside the lock; use the Downtempo · Chill range to hold the slow reading.
- RPM is BPM ÷ 2 for climbs and 1:1 for flats and sprints, exactly as in Sheet №1. Keep the same two sprint sets so a regular class recognises the structure under the theme.
- Read every track live before class. Halloween edits, remixes and film-score cues rarely carry a correct BPM in the streaming service; a 30-second read off any speaker fixes that.
Filling it in
Put the phone on the desk, play each candidate track from any speaker, and press Listen. The provisional number appears in a few seconds and locks with a decimal; the ½ and 2× chips beside it are the other two readings of the same pulse. Range: House · Techno for the whole ride; the Downtempo · Chill range for the slow-burn climb if the lock jumps to double. Write the locked BPM against the track, and drop the track into the block whose band it falls in.
Beatpin's free tier keeps your last 15 reads in Library, which is enough for one sheet. Pro keeps every read and adds the key and Camelot code beside the tempo, which makes the transitions between blocks smoother when you care about that.
